Pop musician of world renown whose first major film role was in Nic Roeg’s The Man Who Came to Earth (1976). His 40 or so movie and TV appearances including Just a Gigolo, The Hunger, Merry Christmas, Mr Lawrence, Absolute Beginners, Labyrinth, The Last Temptation of Christ, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, Warhol’s Basquiat, and voice-overs for Arthur and the Invisibles and the SpongeBob SquarePants TV series.
