Highly successful bonkbusting novelist and actress in films (1954-65, including Rock You Sinners) like sister Dame Joan, for whom she adapted her book The Stud for the screen. Also wrote screenplays for The World Is Full of Married Men and Yesterday’s Hero as well as some of her TV series, Hollywood Wives, Lucky Chances and Lady Boss, and was an occasional producer of her own adaptations.
